Airplanes, Presidents, and Contests

Happy Presidents Day Everyone!  I will celebrate by saying a prayer today for Mr. Obama and for all our living past presidents.  These men all work hard (or have worked hard) and love our country.  Whether you agree with their policies or not, I hope you’ll wish them well today and take a moment to appreciate their service and their heart.

I will be going out of town this week for a family funeral.  Sad times for sure, but it will be nice to see some folks I don’t normally get to see.  I won’t be posting my usual Tuesday and Friday blogs this week, but I’ll be back with fun vocabulary words and quick book reviews next week!

In related news, I had planned to go to the Written in the Stars conference http://nolastars.com/conference/ next weekend, but am now planning on spending the time supporting family instead.  I was really looking forward to meeting new friends, pitching to agents and editors, and of course the award luncheon, but family always comes first.  I will post here ASAP when I hear the results of the Suzannah contest https://jessigage.wordpress.com/2011/12/08/hello-world/.

About Jessi Gage

Jessi lives with her husband and children in the Seattle area. She’s a passionate reader of all genres of romance, especially anything involving the paranormal. Ghosts, demons, vampires, witches, weres, faeries...you name it, she’ll read it. As for writing, she's sticking to Highlanders and contemporaries with a paranormal twist (for now). A career student (aka indecisive and inquisitive bookworm), Jessi brings her love of research to her worlds and characters. Her guiding tenet in her writing is that good always trumps evil, but not before evil gives good one heck of a run for its money. The last time she imagined a world without romance novels, her husband found her crouched in the corner, rocking.
