Tuesday’s Word

A person who consumes no animal flesh with the exception of fish or seafood.

My husband and I were watching Duck Dynasty this week, and the Robertson clan was running a restaurant for a night. The self-dubbed rednecks met their match as they had to cook for and serve a pescetarian among their clientelle. My favorite part of the episode was Si at the grille, yelling triumphantly at the burgers. I don’t even think burgers were supposed to be on Miss Kay’s menu that night.

P.S. Anyone notice my typo in this post? Anyone else hear Homer’s voice going, “Le grille? What the hell is that!?” Hearing Homer’s voice in my head on a Tuesday was reason enough not to fix the typo. If it makes me smile, it stays.

About Jessi Gage

Jessi lives with her husband and children in the Seattle area. She’s a passionate reader of all genres of romance, especially anything involving the paranormal. Ghosts, demons, vampires, witches, weres, faeries...you name it, she’ll read it. As for writing, she's sticking to Highlanders and contemporaries with a paranormal twist (for now). A career student (aka indecisive and inquisitive bookworm), Jessi brings her love of research to her worlds and characters. Her guiding tenet in her writing is that good always trumps evil, but not before evil gives good one heck of a run for its money. The last time she imagined a world without romance novels, her husband found her crouched in the corner, rocking.
